Master your wedding speech

"We really appreciated your knowledge and expertise which helped us to feel relaxed and confident"

Wedding Speech Training

The wedding speeches can be a big part of the day for many people and very nervous for those delivering a speech.

Delivering a speech comes naturally to a few people, but many have never done anything like this and are naturally very apprehensive about standing up in front of a crowd.

That's where I can help you. I have years of experience as a DJ of speaking in front of large crowds and also as a public relations practitioner of training people to write speeches and training people to deliver them.

I'm based in Ashford and will travel around the local areas to venues to help you perfect your speech and make it one to remember for the right reasons.

Wedding Speech Delivery

No matter how good the speech is on paper, the success or failure depends on how you deliver the speech.

I recommend an hours session at the wedding venue where you'll be delivering the speech for me to run through some tips and get you prepared for the speech. This will give you the confidence on the day as you'll be familiar with the environment and know what to expect.

Face-to-face sessions: 1 hour one-to-one session for £30 or 2 hour group session for £50

Wedding Speech Writing

The first hurdle is getting the speech written. Before you start worrying about what you need to say and adding in the jokes it's important you think about what you want from the speech (the objectives). Thinking about this first can save a lot of time re-writing the speech at a later stage.

Writing a speech is personal to you and it's important that it sounds natural. Unless you're an expert at reading an autocue, you'll need to make sure the language used is what you'd normally use, otherwise the speech will sound different.

3 hour session for £75

Media Training

If you've found this page because you're looking for some media training please get in touch as I can also help with this, with my background in corporate communications I've plenty of experience briefing people ahead of media interviews.
