Happy New Year, I hope 2013 is a good year for everyone.

And what a way to start 2013, at my usual New Years Eve party at the Halfway House in Challock, near Ashford.

I've done the New Years Eve party there for the last few years and really enjoy it, it's a great atmosphere. Just the way it should be, great food and great company.

The outside garden looks perfect in summer, although I will admit I won't be using that at this time of year.
