How much do you charge?
I price each event based on various factors including duration and venue. To find out how much a DJ would cost for your event please request a quote.
Why should I use AP Events?
Some of the benefits include;
- Booking forms are issued for your peace of mind and to confirm all arrangements
- I can meet you at the venue in advance to discuss your requirements
- I have an online music request system for you & your guests to use
- I use a deck stand with cover to hide cables and keep the setup looking nice
- I have Public Liability Insurance for all my DJs and the equipment is regularly tested for safety
- The music collection contains a wide variety from classic floor fillers to up front promotional material
What equipment do you use?
The equipment I use varies depending on the size of the venue and the space available to setup. Below are pictures of my setup that I use for most events.
Can we request music for our event?
Yes, I have an online request system that allows you and your guests to request the music you want played. During the event we use our experience to pick and choose what songs to play but always refer to any requests to ensure we don’t miss off any favourites.
If you have any songs that you don’t want played then it’s important to let me know about these as well, I wouldn’t want to play anything that could spoil your event.
Do you use strobe lighting or smoke effects?
Strobe lighting is used with some of our lights however this under a controlled manner and often in conjunction with other lights to minimise the risk to epilepsy sufferers.
Smoke machines aren’t allowed by a lot of venues and as a result I rarely use one. If you would like us to use one then please check with the venue if they permit the use and let me know when booking.
How long does it take to setup?
It usually takes us between 45-60 minutes to setup. I will arrive 1 hour prior to the start time to allow sufficient time to setup.
Do you provide Karaoke?
No, karaoke isn’t a service we offer. We have had several people sing along to music using our microphone which has worked well if they remember the words.
How do I book AP Events?
I send you a booking form for you to sign and return along with the booking fee. Payment can be made using cash, cheque or bank transfer.
What happens if a DJ falls ill?
I will help you to find an alternative DJ, and being part of the South Eastern Discotheque Association will help the search. Details of cancellation policies are found on our Terms & Conditions.
